THE SHAPING FUTURES PROGRAMME

Our flagship employability initiative for young people aged 14 to 24. Delivered across two 12 week modules, Essential Skills and Career Skills, the programme builds the confidence, skills and real world experience students need to thrive. Schools can enrol at any point in the academic year, select the students who will benefit most and build cohorts of up to 30, choosing the module that best suits their cohort's needs.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

To empower underserved young people to thrive within and beyond the school environment

MODULE OVERVIEW'S

The Shaping Futures Programme is built around two core modules, each tailored to meet the diverse and holistic needs of students.

Module 1: Essential Skills

  • Focus: Leadership, Teamwork, Resilience, Critical Thinking and Communication.
  • Duration:12 weeks, across four phases, Discovering Your Strengths, Building Your Mindset, Real World Ready and Make Your Mark.
  • Activities: Workshops, interactive group sessions and practical, real world exercises.

  • Outcomes: Students build the five core skills employers demand, practising and applying them to real challenges each week. The module culminates in a Capstone Project, where students identify a real challenge facing their school or community, build a solution and present it, developing confidence alongside professional skills.

Module 2: Career Skills

  • Focus: Preparing students for future professional environments.
  • Duration:12 weeks, across six phases.
  • Activities: Career workshops, mentoring and guidance across a range of career paths, alongside access to our Scenario and Opportunity Hub.
  • Outcomes: Students explore the pathways genuinely available to them and leave with a clear, actionable plan for their next steps. Through the Opportunity Hub, employer partners submit live work experience, job shadowing, internship and mentorship opportunities, giving students activated pathways into real workplaces, not just exposure to them.
